Russian President Putin to Visit India on December 4–5 , Kremlin Confirms

Russia has officially announced that President Vladimir Putin will travel to India for a two-day visit on December 4 and 5. The confirmation came from the Kremlin, which stated that the Russian leader’s schedule for the Delhi visit has been finalised.

During his stay, President Putin will engage in bilateral talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting is expected to cover a broad range of issues: strengthening defence cooperation, expanding energy trade, refining payment mechanisms between the two countries amid international sanctions, and discussing global geopolitical conditions — particularly the roles of India and Russia in a changing world order.

This visit holds diplomatic significance, as it reaffirms the durability of India–Russia relations at a time when many countries are repositioning their international partnerships. India has continued to maintain a balanced approach between Western nations and Russia, especially in areas such as oil imports, military procurement, and strategic dialogue.

Putin’s two-day presence in India is expected to include both official talks and ceremonial engagements, underscoring the long-standing historical ties between the two nations and signalling continued cooperation in the years ahead.
