Asansol: A coordination meeting was held between the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Eastern Railway’s Asansol Division, Vinita Srivastava, and Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), Satish Jha, along with senior officials from both organisations.
The meeting aimed to enhance coordination between Indian Railways and ECL for improving coal supply and transportation efficiency.
Key discussions focused on rail siding agreements, optimal utilisation of railway infrastructure, and ensuring smooth and uninterrupted coal movement. Both sides emphasised the importance of timely resolution of supply-related challenges and strict adherence to existing agreements to improve overall operational efficiency.
The meeting also underlined the need for better coordination between the two organisations to streamline coal transportation and railway operations. Strengthening communication channels and improving logistical processes were identified as priorities to achieve better operational synergy.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to collaborative efforts in addressing operational concerns. The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to implement necessary measures for enhanced efficiency and seamless coordination between the railways and the coal sector.
