New Digital Facility on ‘RailOne’ App: 3 percent Discount on Unreserved Ticket Booking from January 14

Asansol: In a major step towards enhancing passenger convenience through digital services, Indian Railways has introduced a special initiative for passengers booking unreserved tickets via its unified mobile platform, the RailOne app.

The move further strengthens Indian Railways’ commitment to cashless transactions and aims to make daily travel more convenient for millions of passengers.

Under the new initiative, passengers booking unreserved tickets through the RailOne app using digital payment modes such as UPI, debit cards, credit cards and net banking will receive a 3% discount on the ticket fare. This benefit will be applicable to all digital payment methods except R-Wallet.

For R-Wallet users, existing benefits will continue without any interruption. Passengers booking unreserved tickets through the R-Wallet on the RailOne app will receive a 3% cashback, ensuring equal benefits for all categories of digital users.

The scheme will be implemented as a pilot project for a fixed period from January 14, 2026, to July 14, 2026. During this period, passenger feedback and system performance will be closely monitored.

Designed to reduce queues at ticket counters and simplify last-minute ticketing, the RailOne app has emerged as a one-stop digital solution for unreserved ticket booking. With fast transactions, multiple payment options and direct financial benefits, the app offers a smart, secure and more convenient travel experience.

Indian Railways has encouraged passengers to adopt the RailOne app, enjoy assured savings, and become part of the Railways’ journey towards a digitally driven, passenger-centric future.
