The Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) made a remarkable impression at the 16th International Railway Equipment Exhibition, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from October 15 to 17.
Showcasing India’s technological excellence, CLW’s display drew tremendous attention from leading nations around the world. The locomotives WAG-9HC, WAP-5 Push-Pull Aerodynamic, and WAG-9HC Twin Electric Engine became the highlight of the international event, attracting industry experts and visitors alike.
The exhibition also presented the glorious 75-year journey of Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, depicting its evolution, innovation, and contribution to the Indian Railways.
By manufacturing high-quality electric locomotives through indigenous innovation, CLW continues to strengthen the vision of “Atmanirbhar Bharat” (Self-Reliant India).
Among the distinguished visitors to the CLW pavilion were Railway Board Chairman and CEO Satish Kumar and Board Member H. Malhotra.
Representing CLW at the exhibition were Chief Electrical Engineer (Design) Harish Mittal, Public Relations Officer Chitrasen Mondal, Deputy General Manager Uttam Kumar Maity, Deputy CMM Kumar Parmanand, and Senior Electrical Engineers Ashish Kumar and Sunil Kumar, among others.
According to official sources, CLW’s participation not only showcased its engineering excellence on the global stage but also opened up new avenues for international collaboration and business opportunities.
