Talks between the United States and Iran have ended without any agreement, casting uncertainty over efforts to maintain a ceasefire in the region.
US Vice President JD Vance said that after prolonged discussions, Iran refused to accept the conditions put forward by Washington. He noted that despite engaging in detailed negotiations, the gap between the two sides remained unresolved.
The discussions were focused on stabilising the situation in the Middle East, including issues related to Iran’s nuclear programme and broader regional tensions. However, disagreements over key conditions, especially on nuclear restrictions, prevented any breakthrough.
With no deal reached, the failure of talks has raised concerns about the future of the ceasefire and the possibility of renewed escalation. Both sides have left the door open for future dialogue, but for now, diplomatic efforts appear to have stalled at a crucial stage.
