Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) has issued a notification for Act Apprentice training through its Technical Training School. Applications can be submitted from December 3 to January 2 next year.
According to the notification issued by the office of the Chief Personnel Officer of CLW, both ITI-passed candidates and freshers can apply for the apprenticeship. The trades for which training will be provided include fitter, electrician, welder, machinist, turner, painter, and refrigeration and air-conditioning mechanic.
For ITI-passed candidates, a total of 369 seats are available, along with 11 seats reserved for ex-servicemen and 15 seats for persons with disabilities (PwD). For freshers, 246 seats are available, with 7 seats reserved for ex-servicemen and 9 seats for PwD candidates.
The age limit for general candidates is 16 to 22 years, while for ITI-passed applicants, the age limit is 16 to 24 years. Age relaxations will be applicable as per government rules.
The notification states that eligible candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 8,200 for freshers and Rs 9,600 for ITI-passed trainees. Depending on the trade, the course duration will range from one to two years. Applications must be submitted offline.
