The Indian stock market will remain closed on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, on account of Diwali Balipratipada.
This closure follows a strong performance in the special Diwali Muhurat trading session on Tuesday, October 21, when markets extended their winning streak amid optimism over corporate earnings and easing global trade tensions.
During the Muhurat session, Sensex gained 0.07% to close at 84,426.34, while the Nifty 50 inched up 0.1% to settle at 25,868.6 — both indices marking their highest closing levels since September 2024.
